Look Out, Ol’ Macky’s Back!
…but the pleasure of the McRib is having it take me back to a time when I didn’t know of or care about truffles, or omega-8s, or “locally-sourced”; the boneless pork sammy is delicious enough to pay no mind to this mess you’re bound to make. It is the White Castle slider experience on steroids, without having to be drunk or stoned to truly enjoy…. [Full Post]

Am I Blue?
…The burger is decent, nothing more. Plenty juicy, but lacking in any real identifiable flavor. I more “felt” the patties in my mouth as I chewed them than tasted them, lucky to have all those condiments and melted cheese slices to keep my taste buds occupied…. [Full Post]

Landing On The Fairway
…On the third day, finally depleting my supply of the smoked salmon and sopprasata, I recreated my fried egg sandwich masterpiece, this time with camera ready…. [Full Post]

“Chip” On The Ol’ Block
…And it was quite good! Lots of flavor, great textures, juicy pork, toothsome black beans, crisp lettuce; it all worked together surprisingly well—and not just for fast food—and was plentiful enough to excuse the $8 price tag (over $10 with the addition of guacamole)…. [Full Post]

Danny’s Burger Evolution
…Danny became a fan of the burger after two quick bites—and absolutely loved the crinkle-cut fries, which I agree don’t get the recognition they deserve—and is now more eager to be able to enjoy more of them from the Shake Shack on East 86th, just two and a half blocks from his apartment…. My New KFC
…The chicken’s best (of many) features is the extreme crispiness of its skin, so crispy that customers three tables away could hear my every bite. The slow-frying process gives the skin an almost “chicken cracklin” quality (think very thin crispy pork skin), and coupled with the chicken meat—moist from being encased in its candy-like shell—and the glazes—both rich, deep, intense and perfectly seasoned—became a festival of flavors and texture inside my mouth….
