My good friend and former roommate Dieter, not only has worked his most of his life, but his family owns the place. I used to go visit him when I was just finished with my bartending shift and he was starting his (they were selling Jagermeister—in a chunk of ice!—there long before the were corporately marketed to college kids) but didn’t really appreciate the recuperative properties of authentic, plentiful, and yummy German cooking until later in my life…!
